Students set for Christmas panto!

01 December 2017

Performing Arts students at Burton and South Derbyshire College will be bringing their Alice in Pantoland pantomime to the stage from 5th–7th December at the College’s Fleet Street Studios, along with an additional performance taking place at the National Brewery Centre on 10th December.

The pantomime will see Pantoland under attack from the evil Wicked Witch ‘Witch Whey’ and her Henchmen who have frozen all the beloved characters within Pantomime and Fairyville.

With all pantos in the human world in jeopardy, Alice finds her way into Pantoland to help save the day with her new found friends Queeny; her son, Willie; an apprentice Fairy, Fairy Nuff and of course, her one true love, Alan.

Alice and her unlikely band of heroes have monsters, pirates and evil pantomime villains to contend with along the way as they try to save the day.

Performing Arts Lecturer, Catherine Palfreyman said: “Students are very excited to be performing the pantomime on stage to a paying audience at our very own Fleet Street Studios and the National Brewery Centre. Performances like this one are an opportunity for students to come together to showcase their talents, providing them with excellent experience of staging their own production as they look to begin their careers in the performing arts industry.”

Evening performances are taking place at the College’s Fleet Street Studios on 5th, 6th and 7th December at 7pm. To book tickets, email This email address is being protected from spambots.
