Ethan Rogers, Kickstart Ethan Rogers, Kickstart “I missed my GCSEs at school due to illness, so I was looking for another way to progress. I came to BSDC to study Kickstart which gave me the chance to learn at my own pace and start afresh. I then went on to take GCSEs in English and Maths. I’m over the moon with my results, and I’m now going on to study TV and Film Production at BSDC."
Ellie Whittingham, GCSE Plus Ellie Whittingham, GCSE Plus “I was home-schooled and I was very nervous when I started college, but I made friends and quickly moved up to the GCSE+ course. I have now passed my GCSEs and I am going on to do a Level 3 Business course. Once I have achieved that, I would like to go on to university and then set up my own business in the future!”
Chloe Lye, Kickstart Chloe Lye, Kickstart “I didn’t complete my GCSEs at school as I had my daughter when the exams were taking place. It meant a lot to me to come back to college on a Kickstart course and to re-sit GCSE Maths and English. It’s meant I can start again! I’m now going on to study Level 2 Health and Social Care and I would like to focus on psychology and how the mind works in my future career.”
Hannah Noble, GCSE Maths Hannah Noble, GCSE Maths "I got a D in my Maths GCSE at school and it’s something that I wanted to improve on. I have been a stay at home mum for six years so I decided it was time to do something for myself. I really enjoyed the course and I’m just so pleased to have come out with a Grade 6. This will help me if I decide to look for a job in the future."
Gavin Bagnall, GCSE English Gavin Bagnall, GCSE English “I got a D grade in GCSE English at school and it always bothered me. I have now gained a grade 8 - not only have I got the grades I need to undertake an apprenticeship degree in the future, but I now have more confidence in my English skills. The tutors were amazing throughout the course; I can’t thank everyone enough for their support!”
