Lynn grew up and went to school in Burton before going away to college to study for her business studies degree. Following that she pursued a career in accountancy, first with Price Waterhouse and then Manchester City Council. In 2002, she became Chief Internal Auditor at East Staffordshire Borough Council. Lynn now works for CW Audit Services who provide internal audit services to both NHS and Local Government clients.
