Chris studied at Nottingham Trent University and achieved a degree in Quantity Surveying whilst progressing his career with Morgan Sindall where he was awarded graduate employee of the year in 2011. He has worked in the construction industry for over 10 years and is now Managing Quantity Surveyor at St. Modwen Homes where he is responsible for over £50 million of construction work per year and a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors. In November 2017 he passed the final assessment and became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Chris supports and promotes education and apprenticeships he has designed and implemented St. Modwen Homes’ Commercial Training Scheme, and over the last 2 years has enrolled 10 apprentices on to the scheme. He wants to inspire young people and make them aware of the opportunities within the construction industry, to strengthen the link between Burton and South Derbyshire College and the Construction Industry and to develop and grow the partnership with St. Modwen Homes.
