    • Course overview

      The aim of this qualification is to develop the knowledge and skills of learners so they can engage, facilitate, educate and support clients in a gym or health club environment. 

      This qualification is suitable for learners holding a Level 2 qualification in gym instruction or equivalent who wish to progress in a career as a professional personal trainer on an employed or self-employed basis.

      This qualification is certified by REPs and CIMSPA.

    • Entry requirements

      Applicants will be expected to have a recognised level 2 subject specific vocational qualification.
      If not already achieved, be working towards completing a level 2 literacy qualification.

      (or) Several years' occupational experience within relevant disciplines will also be considered

      Applicants must also hold a CIMSPA recognised Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.

    • How will I be assessed?

      The course is assessed by a mix of exams, work books, case studies and practical observations. 

    • What can I do next?

      On successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to seek employment and perform competently as a Level 3 personal trainer, or further Level 3/4 qualifications.
