Course overview
Aimed at experienced bookkeepers, this qualification covers areas such as double entry bookkeeping, financial statements, intermediate spreadsheets and software use.
Please note: Learners will be required to pay an additional one-off registration fee of £94 directly to the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
This one-off registration fee will give you access to the qualification for its lifetime, typically four to five years, and access to the study support resources, and enable you to sit the qualification assessments.

You will be assessed via computerised exams.

What can I do next?
If you successfully complete this qualification, you can apply for AAT associate bookkeeping membership and achieve professional AAT Bookkeeper status (AATQB). You can also progress to the full Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
AAT qualifications are recognised by employers as practical and technical qualifications that prepare students for the world of work and for working specifically in accountancy and finance roles. The Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping can lead to employment as a professional bookkeeper, senior bookkeeper, acccounts Manager or ledger manager.
