    • Course overview

      This course could help you to broaden your knowledge and gain experience in the field of Human Resources. Whether you are currently working in HR and want to consolidate your experience, or whether you would like to work in the area, this qualification could help boost your career.

      This qualification introduces you to a wide range of relevant knowledge and expertise in people practice. It is suited to those learners who are: 

      • Studying, aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in people practice
      • Working in a people practice support role and wish to develop their knowledge and deliver immediate and short-term value for their organisation 
      • Wish to develop the specialist knowledge, skills and understanding required to be a people professional

      You are required to attend college for three hours a week, attend tutorials arranged with your tutor and undertake at least four hours self-directed study each week. Sessions contain a combination of individual and group work. This includes discussions, case studies, presentations, debates, research, workshops and tutorials. Tutorials can be conducted using Microsoft teams.

      The course starts in September and ends in June.

      Please note: Learners will be required to pay an additional membership fee of £170 for new members directly to CIPD.

      This one-off registration fee will give you access to the qualification for its lifetime, typically four to five years, and access to the study support resources, and enable you to sit the qualification assessments.

      Applicants will be expected to have a recognised level 2 subject specific vocational qualification.
      If not already achieved, be working towards completing a level 2 literacy qualification.

      You will be assessed through four written assignments.

    • What can I do next?

      Students who are successful on this course may progress to the CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management (Level 5). This nationally recognised and valued qualification could also help you to gain employment in the field of Human Resources.
