    • Course overview

      This course is for those who are volunteering or working in an educational establishment (classroom based), and require a qualification to reflect skills and knowledge.

      This qualification will enable you to work with children and young people aged 4-19 yrs.

      Topics covered include child development; safeguarding; promoting positive behaviour; supporting a range of learners; planning and delivering activities on a one to one basis and with a small group; assessment of learning; and promoting resilience. 

      This course requires you to be in a work placement for a minimum of 2 days per week and on average, 5-6 hours self-study for research and written evidence over 18 months.
