Course overview
This course is suitable for people who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment). This Award will give you the knowledge and skills you need to plan assessments, select the best assessment methods for the situation, carry out the assessments and after making the assessment decision, give feedback to the learner, make a firm contribution to quality assurance, keep and complete accurate assessment records.

How will I be assessed?
A variety of assessment methods will be used to enable candidate assessors to produce a personal portfolio of evidence which will demonstrate their competence, skills and knowledge against the TAQA standards of unit 1 and 3. Unit 1 may be delivered within a personal 1-1 workshop.
