Trips and visits
During your course, you will have the opportunity to attend trips such as Champneys Springs, Hoar Cross Hall, Grafton International, Balmain Hair Extensions, Salon International, London and Beauty UK, Birmingham.
You will also benefit from guest speakers, including international hairdressers and beauty therapists, take part in industry training days and enter competitions such as WorldSkills to develop your creativity.
Industry Partnerships
All hair and beauty courses will include an element of work experience and project work within relevant, local industries. You will have the chance to take part in work experience in local salons, spas, gyms and beauty counters, as well as be a hair/makeup artist at the National Adventure Farm’s annual Screamfest event. Our Innovations Salon benefits from partnerships with Wella and Elemis, giving you the opportunity to gain enhanced knowledge and skills.
Additionally, our students take part in skills competitions during their studies, with two of our learners recently taking part in the WorldSkills Beauty competition!
