Working in the public services is a highly rewarding career choice. Our Public Services courses are demanding; you will be required to complete a range of units, be organised, and keep an online portfolio of your assignments and achievements.

You will learn about and develop the skills and qualities needed to be an effective member of the services. As part of your study programme, you will complete a number of practical units, which will challenge and develop your fitness and outdoor activity skills.

You will also participate in a wide range of team building activities, outdoor adventure activities and educational visits. You may even have the chance to take part in some exciting challenges, including our Coast to Coast bike ride or mountain climbing in Snowdonia.

You can be sure you’re learning from the very best - our lecturers bring a wealth of direct industry experience, including in the British Army, Police Service and Ambulance Service.

On successful completion of your course, whether you decide to carry on your studies at BSDC or university, go on to employment or a police/paramedic apprenticeship, your qualification will be your passport to success in the next stage of your life.
