Course overview
The AAT Level 4 Diploma for Professional Accounting Technicians is a career-focused Higher Technical Qualification for those who want to develop advanced technical knowledge and progress in accountancy or finance. The programme combines financial accounting, management accounting, audit and internal controls, taxation and advanced business awareness, helping learners interpret information, support business decisions and communicate financial insight with confidence.
This qualification is mapped to the Professional Accounting Technician occupational standard and is built around six themes for contemporary practice: sustainability, ethics, digital innovation, communication, regulation and equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. Learners will also develop professional scepticism and an understanding of how technology, data and AI are changing accounting work.
Delivery at the University Centre, Burton Town Centre Campus, will use a hybrid model. Learners will attend scheduled teaching in person and online, supported by tutor guidance, digital learning resources, practice activities and preparation for AAT assessments.
Please note: Learners will be required to pay an additional one-off registration fee of £257 directly to the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
This one-off registration fee will give you access to the qualification for its lifetime, typically four to five years, and access to the study support resources, and enable you to sit the qualification assessments.
For more information on this AAT registration fee please click here.
