Katy Broomfield has worked at the College for over 16 years, beginning as a Nursery Practitioner while undertaking a Foundation Degree, before becoming Nursery Manager. She then progressed to her current role as Head of Services for Learners.
While in the college Nursery, Katy continued to study, attaining a BA Honours in 2016. She also oversaw the nursery successfully achieving two outstanding judgements in Ofsted inspections.
Katy continues to develop her knowledge around safeguarding and supporting young people with additional needs, and continually works towards a vison of everyone achieving the best they can.
As Staff Governor, Katy hopes to bring an increased understanding to the team from a staff viewpoint, which will be beneficial in developing and approving any new direction the College may embrace in the future.
