Course overview
This course is suitable for people working in, or working towards maintaining quality assurance of the assessment process from within an organisation or assessment centre to qualify as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA). You will gain the knowledge and skills you need to hold a major role in supporting Assessors to maintain their quality assurance within their assessing, completion of documentation and accurate record keeping, achievements of learners and ensuring standardisation of processes and procedure in line with awarding body requirements. You will also contribute to visits by the External Quality Assurer from an awarding organisation.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it would be an advantage to have an assessor qualification and knowledge of the IQA job role. You must have access to assessors within your own work environment that have learners undertaking a qualification.

How will I be assessed?
A variety of assessment methods will be used to enable candidate Internal Quality Assurers to produce a personal portfolio of evidence which will demonstrate their competence, skills and knowledge against the TAQA standards of unit 1 and 2. Unit 1 may be delivered within a personal 1-1 workshop.
